Juice The SHIT Out of Your Food!

Why I decided to juice . . . DAY 2-4


Looking beautiful is one thing but feeling it is another.  I have numerous times sat at the dinner table with that "stuffed" feeling and let me tell you, I don't feel beautiful.  Who wants to sit at the table, especially if your out at a restaurant, feeling bloated, having your pants super tight and not wanting to move because those buttons on your jeans are ready to burst.

YES!!!  I mean what I say and I say what I mean . . . . Juicing is all about getting nutrients that you need into that beautiful body of yours.  I love to throw just about anything into my juicer like kale, apples, lemons, carrots, celery, strawberries, blueberries and much more.  At first, I was very skeptical about this process ESPECIALLY when I saw the end result (a.k.a the gross color that the juice mixed to).  However, I realized that not everything needs to go in there!! So I included below some of my favorite drink recipes:

FALL IN A GLASS (tastes like a delicious apple pie & can be used as a desert drink)

2 red apples
dash of cinnamon

SUMMER BREEZE (makes me want to go to the beach)

1 orange
10 strawberries
1/4 pineapple

GREEN MACHINE (chuck full of goodies)

1 lemon
1/2 bunch of kale (bunch up kale to avoid getting caught in juicer)
1 green apple

BERRI-BLAST

Hand full of the following
blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, cranberries, raspberries


All the above are delicious and you can drink them anytime of the day.  I usually like to start my day out with a juice mix and ends it with a juice mix.  I have been juicing for a month now and really see a difference in my skin, hydration and digestive system.  Play around with your fruits & juices to see what you like!  For instance, I LOVE cucumbers in a salad or even alone with avocado but in the juicer . . . . YUCKIE!!  I promise you will love it!  I didn't think that I would continue it and even saved to receipt to my juicer  :)  The first drink I ever tried I just stared at it for a good 10-15 minutes hahahahah!!  I needed to prepare myself then I took a sip and just LOVED IT and have been doing it ever since.  Once you get the hang of it post your favorite recipes on HERE to share with others!!!!  HAVE FUN XOXOXOX

Hello Gov-nah!

Hi all!!!! So TheCUBBYskinnygirl.com is all about being a skinny girl trapped in a chubby girls body . . . . I KNOW!!  It sounds awful but at one point in my life I was considered "skinny" by society standards.  OHHHHH society standards, aren't they FABULOUS :)  However, even when I was down to 120 lbs, I wasn't healthy OR happy!!!  I would skip meals (or fill my tummy with "fake food"), work out like a mad woman and have my image control my life just so I could fit into a bikini and feel confident.  Well now I believe in KIARA standards . . . like feeling healthy, being comfortable in my own skin, looking in the mirror and having the person staring back at me confident, happy and beautiful.  Im stick of feeling unhealthy, unhappy and miserable in my "chubby" body and for people referring to me as "having such a pretty face" or "big boned" . . . . People my bones aren't BIG lol they are the same size as yours!!!! So refrain, if you could, from saying that to people who are overweight . . . you don't know what that can do to someone's confidence!!

Okay enough with me blabbering away (BLAB BLAB BLAB) . . . . I chose to make this blog to inspire people to make a change . . . . yes CHANGE!!!!!  Like having me get off my butt, go to the gym and move a little.  I am a hairstylist and makeup artist by profession (www.kiaramooneyhmua.com) and if you are one as well, you know how hectic a salon can get sometimes.  But lets face it, everyone is busy & hectic (work, kids, parents, relationships), everyone makes excuses ("well today I have this & that to do" or "tomorrow I will definitely go to the gym") and everyone needs a little bit of ME time . . . so why not change our ways together :)

This lovely take on life/attitude happened after a conversation I had with one of my close friends and wardrobe stylist in Boston & NYC, Victoria Vegas.  We were discussing my life (how fun) and where I currently stand.  I has just lost my grandmother this past January, I broke up with my boyfriend of roughly 6 years and I just recently changed salons roughly 6 months ago.  So need I say more where my emotional state was . . . . but don't feel pity for me because 2 out of the 3 situations I CHOSE.  I wanted to have positivity in my life, happiness, control of my future and most of all REDUCE the negativity!!!  Holy mole-y does that SHIT spread like wild fire!!! Victoria's take was "Listen Kiara", she says that a lot ;) "Listen Kiara, I am soo0o0o0o happy for you!  Girl you are ready to start your new life!!!  You have so much going for you in your career, you are newly single and now it's your time to focus on YOU!!  Listen you don't eat meat . . . you eat healthy you just need to get your butt to the gym more often and eat on a regular schedule."  She's 100% correct . . . it's not rocket science but it makes complete sense!

So, once again, this blog will be about my journey and yours too!  I want everyone to post comments, send me their accomplishment & setbacks (but how they learned from it), their aspirations, their life journey.  We are all humans, it's okay to mess up but its what we do with the information that we acquire at the moment that counts.  CHANGE!  That is key here; mentally, physically & spiritually <3
